A Desert in the Amazon

Canyons, Cliffs and Cacti

Our day off was lots of fun and turned out to be just as busy as our work days. We went to climb a number of different canyon ridges called “Serras” in portuguese. Our team piled into a pickup truck and went bouncing around the beautiful Brazilian country side. My friend Jason said it reminded him of the mountainous parts of California.

On the way back we went by a number of other PAZ church plants in that area – churches that will be overseen by the future key church in Canp. We got back home quite dirty, cleaned up, and then headed off to Monte Alegre to visit the churches there. John even got to play his harmonica for everyone in the churches! It was a great time of visiting our brothers and sisters in Monte Alegre.

So very blessed Nate and Ruth by this post though it makes me so homesick for Brazil. The photos are absolutely great! Blessings
