The bleak monochrome days of winter in Japan are shattered by the greening of the plants and the flowering of the white and pink sakura (Cherry-Blossom) trees. The park where the girls play. The river-trail I jog on. Everyday city life is transformed by these trees — little did I know so many of them were dormant cherry-blossom trees! All of a sudden, the normal places become extraordinary! Japan is transformed in a matter of days. People come out in the thousands — millions — out of their confined winter habitations and arrive in huge quantities to stroll through one of many of Tokyo’s parks. They have picnics, visit the zoos, take pictures and have a great time! Brides and grooms are out in full wedding attire to take wedding pictures. So many people are smiling, enjoying life! What a stark contrast to the life-less winter existence experienced just days before.
I believe God gave the Cherry-Blossom trees to Japan for a reason — it is His prophetic symbol for Japan. For just as Japan has been dormant for a long spiritual winter, a spring of hope is bursting onto the scene and it will transform Japan in a moment. Seemingly lifeless people will burst into beauty and joy as they experience the Spring-time of God’s Love. He is the God that makes all things new! He proves it in his creation with the Spring and its’ unparalleled Sakura trees. But his greatest work in Japan has yet to bloom — when a nation turns to Him in a moment and the world sees the true beauty lying dormant in Japan. These days are coming soon. The buds are on the trees. We are preparing for it! Enjoy this video showing the beautiful transformation taking place in Japan.
Revelations 21:5a He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
